Niagara Falls frozen as snow and ice descend
Famed tourist destination Niagara Falls has been shrouded in a dense layer of snow and ice, as severe cold weather conditions hit.
Footage shot from the Canadian side of the waterfall showcased the iconic landmark and its surroundings heavily laden with snow and ice, with the distant Rainbow Bridge arching over the frozen Niagara River.
Tourists at the site were fascinated by the extraordinary spectacle. Emily, a visitor from Hong Kong, conveyed her astonishment saying: "I am quite shocked that it's all frozen today".
"Yesterday when we arrived we still had some water flowing in between. But it's so interesting to see such a scenario.
"It's just like frozen in time."
The snow-draped landscape, encompassing the Table Rock Welcome Centre and observation decks, presented a remarkable and unique view of the falls, augmenting the charm of this winter wonderland.
