Severe flooding has swamped the English town of Loughborough after heavy rain from Storm Henk wreaked havoc.

Cars and houses were submerged in water as hundreds of flood warnings were in place across the country.

The storm also caused power cuts, property damage and transport disruption across the UK.

The UK government said more flooding was expected and low-lying agricultural land was most at risk.
